Classically trained and proficient in styles running the gamut of the musical spectrum, Amy Guskin is a skilled and talented musician who will add value to your next musical project.
A veteran performer, she has worked professionally on stage and in the studio, including Off Broadway theater, industrials, pop/rock music, and advertising (jingles), and also has experience in folk music, choral music, light opera (specializing in Gilbert & Sullivan comic mezzos), grand opera, world music styles, holiday music, humorous music, radio, chanting, and children's music. Working not only as a musician but also as a composer and recording studio technician, Amy has a unique understanding of all aspects of any professional music project.
A highlight of Amy's twenty-one year relationship with the seasonal band, Bah & the Humbugs, was a 2002 appearance on CNN. The band writes and performs original, irreverent, humorous Christmas music, and anchor Carol Lin interviewed Amy before a performance by the band on her CNN Sunday Night program.
Instruments include guitar, keyboard, trumpet, recorder, harp. Singing languages include French, German, Italian, Spanish, Gaelic, and Latin. Reads music and has fast memorization skills.
