Following are more pictures of the adventures of my car, wrapped as part of a promotion for the SciFi channel's new Babylon 5 movie, Legend of the Rangers: To Live and Die in Starlight (http://www.scifi.com/b5rangers).

Most of this series consists of reaction shots — at least it's the reactions of the handful of people I was able to coerce to be photographed for posterity...

To those in the Philadelphia area who have been looking for the Rangermobile: if you haven't seen me, you aren't trying. I have been literally everywhere since the car was wrapped in mid-December. Between holiday shopping, socializing, traveling to be with family and friends, cruising, and assorted general time-wasting (err, I mean "promotion"), I have put more mileage on the car than in any other one-month period that I've owned it. So, to those still looking, take heart: some day you might hear the lusty six-cylinder roar of the Rangermobile on a street near you, too.

On to the photos:

This is my very own Comic Book Guy, at the shop in Bryn Mawr where I spend my hard-earned money on the colorful, glossy-and-matte thrill that is comics. We stopped traffic on Lancaster Avenue to take this shot.

Here begins the Nathan Series. This is Nathan, expressing the surprise he surely felt the first time he saw the car (this is, of course, staged). I feel compelled to point out that the AMC theatre we stand before is not my preferred choice of movie theatre; it's just the place I went to meet Nathan and Ren, because they were going to see Harry Potter there. I'm generally a UA kinda girl.

Ohmigod! Here's Nathan again, and he is totally shocked! Will his head explode? Will he splutter monosyllabically? Will he...simply walk away from the car and go into the theatre??? If the suspense is killing you, proceed to the next picture right away.

So what did Nathan decide to do? The only sane thing he could have done: he made bat-eyes on Minbari Ranger Firell, that's what! If you listen very closely, you can almost hear him saying, "Neener neener."

Here, Nathan plays tough-guy Ranger, and high-fives Human Ranger Kitaro Sasaki. If you listen very closely, you can almost hear him saying, "Word."

Leaving the sanctity of the metropolitan area, Paul and I braved the cold early one January morning and drove out to Lancaster County, land of horse-drawn buggies, overpriced tourist bonnets, and aromatic ruminant manure. We planned to get a hearty, 'stick-to-your-ribs' breakfast at famous Zinn's Diner. My earliest memories of Zinn's are as a tiny two-year old visiting from New York. My parents took me to "Big Amos" (that's the large fellow standing to Paul's right), and pressed the button to make him speak, which I'm certain must have precipitated a sudden diaper change for me. Honestly, I still found him a bit scary last week! But the breakfast was delicious and the prices were great. I felt a bit like Dale Cooper: it was a clean place, reeeeeasonably priced. And, damn fine coffee — and hot, too!

On the way home, we stopped to get a shot of a vast, rolling Lancaster County farm (as seen from a turnpike pulloff). There's not much to see in January; just those large bales of hay and the bleak winter sky.

Back home now, in Chester County. One of the things Pennsylvania is famous for is its covered bridges. This one is in Valley Forge Park, spanning Valley Creek. It was badly damaged in a hurricane a few years ago (I think it was Hurricane Floyd, which I fondly recall as Hurricane Flood), and had to be nearly totally rebuilt. I waved as Paul drove away from me, towards Yellow Springs. I wondered how long I'd have to stand in the cold before he could turn around and come back for me.

And here he is, coming back through the jumpgate for me, with a Shadow SUV hot in pursuit.

I realized that I didn't have a reaction shot of Paul. Here we are outside of his office in the Great Valley Corporate Center, as he pretends to be saying, "Oh my gods, what have we done to our car??"

Here are Avrum and Jerry, outside of the Universal Imaging building in Downingtown. Look how shocked and surprised and amazed they are! Look at it! Yeah, look at it!!! (Say that last bit in Zorak's voice for best effect.)

Here, once again, are Avrum and Jerry, taking time out from their busy work day to be shocked and surprised and amazed at my car. Why, they could only be more surprised if Thundercleese had come to visit them in Downingtown. Major props to both Avrum and Jerry for their superb job of reacting.

No visit to Universal Imaging would be complete without a shout out to Dave, another (along with Jerry) of the old Point B housemates. Here, Dave expresses his amazement over G'Kar's abdomen. Hey, I think it's a pretty nice abdomen, too.

Here I am way in the hinterlands, in Pottstown, to meet up with Wendy S. from the moderated Babylon 5 newsgroup on New Year's Eve day, to see the Rangers trailer and Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Rings (my third time). It was the same ad we've been seeing on television, but we were both very excited to see it on the big screen. Wendy did a really nice job of visibly displaying her amazement at the wrap!

Here I am back in Malvern, meeting Diane D. from the moderated Babylon 5 newsgroup (that's her on the right), and her sister. She was down here visiting for Christmas, and in the midst of all the holiday madness we managed to meet one day for breakfast. It was pretty early in the morning, so their reaction is appropriately low key.

And finally, I decided it was time to have some real, actual shots of me with the car. Well, shots of me and G'Kar, anyway. Photo credit for this last exciting series of three pictures goes to Kayla Mosko, a true friend who never once said "Work with me, baby" as she photographed me. Here, the car is in Wayne, PA, outside Kayla's house. This is me, looking like just me.

Mmmm, G'Kar, oh, G'Kar, ahhh, such a big, strong Narn, and so intellectual, so spiritual, so, so...eloquent...and what lovely spots you have...mmmm....er, um...ack! Kayla?...is that thing on??

Here, if you squint, you could almost believe I was graduating from the Ranger training facility in Tuzanor, on Minbar. Almost.
